Hydration and moisture
Hydration refers to water in the skin, while moisturizing helps reduce moisture loss and improve comfort. Many well-designed formulas support both, which is why the final step can make the whole ritual feel more complete.
THE VERO LUMIÈRE RITUAL · STEP 03
Hydration completes the ritual by helping skin feel supple, comfortable and supported. It is less about a heavy finish and more about giving skin what it needs to hold on to moisture.
Hydration refers to water in the skin, while moisturizing helps reduce moisture loss and improve comfort. Many well-designed formulas support both, which is why the final step can make the whole ritual feel more complete.
More is not automatically better. Use enough to cover the face and neck comfortably, then adjust by season, environment and how your skin actually feels rather than following a rigid amount.
The purpose stays the same, but the context changes. Daytime routines should sit comfortably under sunscreen and makeup; evening routines can prioritize comfort and replenishment before sleep.
THE METHOD
Apply moisturizer after treatment while skin still feels comfortable and receptive. Smooth a modest amount over the face and neck without aggressive rubbing. In the morning, follow your skincare with appropriate sun protection; in the evening, let moisturizer be the quiet final layer.
